Madden Superstars on Facebook

When I heard that Madden was being released on Facebook, I, being a huge Madden fan, was eager to play it. However, when I found out that it would be a simulation game, I was pretty disappointed. Here are my thoughts on the game: Does the simulation work, what are the nice features, and will it attract new Madden fans?
To start off the game, you just pick a pick a team name, and use the coins that you are already given at the beginning to get random, low level players. The players I got were an assortment of old, slow veterans, and young, inexperienced rookies. The best player on my team was David Carr, which is saying something.
The simulation of games is pretty simple. Basically, it just shows the major days in a series of pictures. My team was tied with another team, The Wombats, in the fourth quarter. That’s when I used something called a game-changer, which, obviously, totally change the course of the game. My game changer was a kickoff return TD, and it had a 100% chance of working. So, I returned the kickoff for a TD and won the game. I presume that later in this game you will have opportunities to purchase game changers and new players.
After the game, I had the opportunity to have a practice session with my players. The practice session that was available was the 40 yard dash, and it was free. The practice would complete in 5 minutes, and my players would have improved ratings.
After fooling around with the game, I say something called the “Predictor.” In that “mode,” you predict who will win a real life NFL game, and what the point total will be. Predicting correctly can give you more points. So, in a way, fantasy is included in this game. I then predicted that the Saints would beat the Vikings by seven in week one.
Overall, Madden Superstars on Facebook is a pretty interesting football simulation game, especially with the added fantasy feature. It’s fun to play against a large group of friends and earn bragging rights. This could turn non-gamers into Madden lovers.
Anyways, thanks for reading!
