Best Mac Apps and Boredom Busters

What to do when you're bored or looking to have some fun on your Mac, without playing games and feeling like a video game addict? While, we here at our blog have created a list of some notable useful Mac apps and boredom busters, that will be posted periodically with apps that we think you will take interest in.
Our first application we have is called Adium, which is basically a chat application similar to iChat with a few notable differences, some for better and some for worse. One of the worse differences compared to iChat is that you can't video chat with anybody or screen share with other people using a Mac or iChat. Also, you can't click on links in statuses which may not seem like a big issue but it's usually pretty cool to see what other people have in their statuses, so that actually is kind of a big blow. The best part about Adium is its great alert system. Whenever somebody logs on, you can set an alert that notifies you. Also, it fully integrates with Facebook, Gmail, Yahoo Chat, and many other chat clients, so it's really helpful when you don't want to log on to your Facebook and your email chat at the same time. Our next app that we will try to have up as soon as possible is called Djay 3, a cool DJ mixing application.
